What it is
Secure storage here means a managed facility, not a unit with a roller door. The difference matters: at a self-storage site you move your own pieces in, stack them yourself, and find out what happened to them when you open the door months later. In our warehouse, items are received by handlers, recorded, racked, and retrieved by the same team that will deliver them.
It is used three ways. A designer holds a client's furniture while a renovation runs. A retailer holds collection overflow or stock between showroom changes. A private client holds a collection during a move, a sale or a period overseas.
Pieces are wrapped and racked rather than stacked, with fragile and finished items separated. Nothing is stored on a bare concrete floor and nothing carries the weight of something above it. The facility is monitored, and access is by arrangement rather than by a swipe card handed to anyone.
Because storage sits in the same building as the warehousing operation, a stored piece can go straight onto a specialist delivery when it is called for: the same team, no transfer to a third party, no second handling event in a yard somewhere.

What we don’t do
Documents and archive boxes, vehicles, and anything requiring temperature or humidity control. Fine art with a conservation-grade climate specification should go to a specialist art store.
Common questions
- How is this different from self-storage?
- Self-storage gives you a unit and leaves the handling to you. Ateam Logistics operates a managed facility: pieces are collected by trained handlers, condition-recorded, wrapped, racked rather than stacked, held in a monitored building, and delivered back by the same team. You never carry anything and nobody untrained ever touches the piece.
- Can you store furniture during a renovation?
- Yes. It is one of the most common uses. Ateam Logistics collects a client's furniture before the works start, holds it wrapped and racked at its warehouse for as long as the programme runs, and delivers and re-places it when the site is finished, as a specialist delivery rather than a drop-off.
- Is there a minimum storage term?
- Storage is quoted per job rather than on a fixed rate card, because volume, the fragility of the pieces and how long they are staying all change the cost. Send an item list and an approximate duration and Ateam Logistics will come back with a firm figure.
- How quickly can I get something out of storage?
- Retrieval from Ateam Logistics is scheduled with the delivery, so the lead time is the delivery lead time rather than a separate wait. Call 1800 MY ATEAM with the item and the date you need it on site.
