About Ateam Logistics
- What does Ateam Logistics do?
- Ateam Logistics is a specialist logistics company for fragile, luxury and high-value goods, operating since 2011 from a facility at Unit C2/11-13 Lord Street, Botany NSW 2019. It delivers and installs across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, and warehouses and stores stock in Sydney and Melbourne only, for interior designers, luxury retailers, galleries and private collectors.
- What does Ateam Logistics move?
- Ateam Logistics moves designer furniture, fragile goods, mirrors, sculpture, chandeliers and decorative lighting, marble and stone, glass, antiques and collectables. The common factor is that damage is not recoverable, which is why every job runs with at least two people and every finished surface is handled for it.
- How is a job priced?
- Ateam Logistics prices on the work rather than from a fixed rate card. For storage and distribution that means volume, handling and dispatch frequency; for delivery it means the pieces, the access at both ends and the timing. Send those details and we come back with a proposal.
- Does Ateam Logistics use subcontractors?
- Ateam Logistics resources each job to what it needs and stays accountable for it end to end, including on the interstate leg to Melbourne. The standard does not change with the leg.
- What does Ateam Logistics not do?
- Ateam Logistics does not handle general pallet freight, parcel courier work, hazardous goods or temperature-controlled stock, and is not a general house removalist or a conservation-grade art store. If a piece can safely travel by a parcel carrier, we will say so.
Warehousing & Distribution
- Where is the Ateam Logistics warehouse?
- Ateam Logistics runs two Sydney sites. Botany, at Unit C2/11-13 Lord Street, sits inside the Port Botany and airport freight precinct, so imported containers and air freight are received, unpacked and inspected the day they land. Warehousing, distribution and storage run from our warehouse, and Epping in Melbourne does both.
- Do you offer 3PL for furniture and homewares brands?
- Yes. Ateam Logistics provides third-party logistics for furniture, lighting, art and homewares brands: receiving and inspecting inbound containers, holding stock in a monitored facility, and picking, packing and dispatching to customers, showrooms or sites nationally.
- Can you hold project stock until an install date?
- Yes. Consolidation is one of the main reasons designers use the Ateam Logistics facility: stock arriving over weeks from different suppliers is received, checked and held in our warehouse, then released as a single delivery to the install date rather than six part-deliveries onto a site that is not ready for them.
- Do you distribute interstate from Sydney?
- Yes. Ateam Logistics runs three warehouses, two in Sydney and one in Melbourne, and distributes between them as consolidated linehaul legs with specialist handling on the final delivery. Moving one load rather than a series of trips means each piece is handled fewer times.
Design Installation
- What is design installation?
- Design installation is the on-site assembly, placement and finishing of furniture, fixtures, art and lighting for an interior fit-out. Ateam Logistics delivers to a designer's programme, protects the site, assembles and levels each piece to the floor plan, hangs art and positions styling, and removes all packaging, so the room is handed over photograph-ready rather than as a stack of deliveries.
- Do you work to a designer's programme?
- Yes. Ateam Logistics sequences installs around the other trades and around building access rather than around vehicle availability, holding project stock in its warehouse until the site is genuinely ready. Installs are the last trade on site, so the schedule is built backwards from the handover date.
- Can you hang artwork and install lighting?
- Ateam Logistics hangs framed artwork, mirrors and sculpture, and positions decorative lighting including chandeliers, as part of an install. Anything requiring hard-wiring or structural fixing is coordinated with your licensed trades rather than carried out by us.
- Do you remove the packaging after an install?
- Yes. Every carton, pallet, blanket and metre of wrapping leaves with the Ateam Logistics team as standard. A room is not finished until it could be photographed.
Last Mile Delivery
- What is specialist last mile delivery?
- Specialist last mile delivery is the final leg of a delivery carried out by trained handlers rather than a general freight driver. Ateam Logistics delivers the piece into the room it is going to live in, with placement to plan, unpacking, and removal of all packaging, rather than leaving it boxed at the door.
- Do you take the packaging away?
- Yes. Wrapping, cartons, corner protection and pallets leave with us as standard. The room is client-ready when we go, which is the point of the service: a client should not be left with a pile of cardboard and a Stanley knife.
- Can you deliver to an upper floor with no lift?
- Yes, with the measurements first. Ateam Logistics runs stair carries routinely, but whether a specific piece makes a specific staircase is a measurement rather than an opinion. Send the width of the narrowest point, the turn at the top and the piece's dimensions, and we will tell you before the delivery is booked, and before the piece is bought, if it is not too late.
- Do you assemble what you deliver?
- Yes, where the piece requires it. Ateam Logistics assembles, positions and levels on site as part of a specialist delivery. Full room fit-outs coordinated to a designer's schedule are handled under Design Installation instead.
Secure Storage
- How is this different from self-storage?
- Self-storage gives you a unit and leaves the handling to you. Ateam Logistics operates a managed facility: pieces are collected by trained handlers, condition-recorded, wrapped, racked rather than stacked, held in a monitored building, and delivered back by the same team. You never carry anything and nobody untrained ever touches the piece.
- Can you store furniture during a renovation?
- Yes. It is one of the most common uses. Ateam Logistics collects a client's furniture before the works start, holds it wrapped and racked at its warehouse for as long as the programme runs, and delivers and re-places it when the site is finished, as a specialist delivery rather than a drop-off.
- Is there a minimum storage term?
- Storage is quoted per job rather than on a fixed rate card, because volume, the fragility of the pieces and how long they are staying all change the cost. Send an item list and an approximate duration and Ateam Logistics will come back with a firm figure.
- How quickly can I get something out of storage?
- Retrieval from Ateam Logistics is scheduled with the delivery, so the lead time is the delivery lead time rather than a separate wait. Call 1800 MY ATEAM with the item and the date you need it on site.
For luxury retailers
- Do you deliver to our customers on our behalf?
- Yes. Ateam Logistics handles final-leg delivery to retail customers as a specialist service: at least two-person handling, placement in the room, assembly, and removal of all packaging. Tell us how you want the delivery to represent your brand and the team is briefed accordingly.
- Can you hold our stock instead of the showroom?
- Yes. Ateam Logistics provides third-party logistics for luxury retail from its warehouse: receiving and inspecting inbound containers, racking stock by line, and picking and dispatching to customers, to your other stores, or interstate. Showroom floor space goes back to selling.
- What happens if stock arrives from the supplier damaged?
- It is caught at receipt. Inbound freight is counted against the packing list and inspected on arrival at Ateam Logistics, and any damage is photographed and reported to you the same day, while it is still a claim against your supplier and there is still time to reorder, rather than after it has been sold to a customer.
- Do you deliver interstate for us?
- Yes. Ateam Logistics runs three warehouses, two in Sydney and one in Melbourne, and moves consolidated linehaul legs between them, with specialist handling on the final delivery. Consolidating rather than trickling stock across means each piece is handled fewer times.
For interior designers
- Can you hold stock until my install date?
- Yes. It is the main reason designers use Ateam Logistics. Stock arriving from different suppliers over weeks or months is received and inspected at our warehouse, held, and released as a single consolidated delivery in install order to a date you set, rather than arriving piecemeal at a site that is not ready.
- Do you work to a designer's programme?
- Yes. Ateam Logistics sequences installs around the other trades and around building access rather than around vehicle availability, and the schedule is built backwards from the handover date. Where a site slips, stock stays held in our warehouse rather than being delivered into an unfinished room.
- Who deals with the building manager?
- Ateam Logistics does. Lift bookings, dock windows and certificates of currency are arranged and lodged before the delivery date is confirmed, in whichever name the building prefers. It is the most common reason an install fails, and it is not something worth leaving to the morning of.
- Will my client see the packaging?
- No. Every carton, pallet, blanket and metre of wrapping leaves with the Ateam Logistics team as standard, and the room is finished to the standard a photographer would hold it to. The handover is a client walking into a finished room, not into a delivery.
For builders & developers
- Do you handle joinery and stone benchtops?
- Yes. Joinery, stone, architectural metalwork and fixed interior elements are received, condition-recorded, held and installed. The handling matters more than usual on these because a finished face cannot be touched up and a made-to-order component cannot be replaced from stock.
- Can you hold components until our site is ready?
- Yes, and it is one of the main reasons manufacturers use the service. Work is held wrapped and racked for as long as the programme runs, then released to site in installation order to a date you set.
- Do you install, or only deliver?
- Both. Components can be delivered to site for your own installers, or installed by Ateam Logistics as part of the fit-out, sequenced around the other trades. Licensed trade work, meaning electrical, plumbing and structural fixing, is coordinated with your trades rather than carried out by us.
- What happens if something arrives damaged from the manufacturer?
- It is photographed and recorded at receipt, before it is put away. Raising it on the day it lands is a conversation with your supplier inside the reorder window, which is the difference between a remake that fits the programme and one that does not.
For private clients
- Do you do full house moves?
- Not as a general removalist, and it is worth saying so plainly. Ateam Logistics handles the pieces where damage cannot be undone: art, antiques, stone, glass, lighting and fine furniture, and most private clients use a removalist for the volume alongside us for those items. If a whole house is genuinely at that level, we will quote the whole house.
- Can you collect from an auction house or dealer?
- Yes. Ateam Logistics collects directly from auction houses, dealers, galleries and estates, and delivers the piece into position in your home: unwrapped, placed and with the packaging removed, rather than leaving it at the door against a signature.
- Can you store my furniture during a renovation?
- Yes. Ateam Logistics collects before the works start, condition-records and wraps each piece, holds it racked in its monitored warehouse for as long as the build runs, and delivers it back into place afterwards as a specialist delivery rather than a drop-off.
- Is the service discreet?
- Yes. Ateam Logistics works regularly with private collections and high-value residences, and details of what was moved, from where and to where are not discussed. A good deal of this work is never spoken about, which is the reason it keeps coming.
For galleries
- Do you transport artwork?
- Yes. Ateam Logistics transports framed works, mirrors, sculpture and crated art with at least two-person handling, and works carried by the frame rather than touched on the face. Pieces travel upright, separated and restrained rather than stacked, and crated work stays crated until it is in the room where it will be opened.
- Can you install an exhibition to a fixed window?
- Yes. Ateam Logistics plans exhibition installs and de-installs to the hour rather than the day, because fair and gallery windows are short and shared with other trades. Works are hung, levelled and positioned as part of the job, with any structural fixing coordinated with your installers.
- Do you offer climate-controlled fine art storage?
- No, and it is worth being straight about it. The Ateam Logistics warehouse is a secure, monitored facility built for furniture, art and decorative inventory, not a conservation-grade climate-controlled art store. Work with a conservation climate specification should go to a specialist art storage facility. Everything else we can hold, and we will tell you honestly which yours is.
- Can you move work interstate?
- Yes. Ateam Logistics runs a consolidated leg from Sydney to Melbourne, handled to the same standard at both ends. Stock is not broken down and passed between depots partway, which is where most interstate art damage is introduced.

- Ateam Logistics warehouses in Melbourne as well as in Sydney, and runs the Hume between them: roughly 880 kilometres, a full day's drive. Stock can be held at either end, and moves as one consolidated load rather than as a series of separate trips, which is cheaper and means each piece is handled fewer times.
- How does Ateam Logistics reach Brisbane?
- Brisbane is roughly 925 kilometres from the Ateam Logistics facility in Sydney, run as a consolidated linehaul leg shared with the Gold Coast. Stock is picked and loaded in Sydney and delivered by the same people who loaded it.
- How does Ateam Logistics reach Gold Coast?
- The Gold Coast is roughly 840 kilometres from the Ateam Logistics facility in Sydney, and is run on the same linehaul leg as Brisbane. Stock is consolidated in Sydney and delivered by the same people who loaded it.
